BiPAP to crap

We were really not looking forward to this, but it was inevitable I guess - she's now on the ventilator.

She just has entirely too much mucus, and too little energy to fight it. She's sedated, so it certainly doesn't bother her. But we aren't fond of it, although we know it's for the best. The docs say this isn't uncommon for these types of RSV cases - so we're a little reassured.

Mostly, we're exhausted. Will post more later. Keep the prayers coming.

OMGoodness! It's so hard to come to the blog and not hear good news :(. It pains me deeply to think about how you two must be feeling. I can only imagine it is SO hard. If I could take some of that pain, I would. If there is anything else I can do, please let me know. I am always thinking about you 3 and so is everyone around me. I love you all so much!

Good morning Diffees. I didn't check the blog yesterday and was so discouraged to read this morning that Alex had to be ventilated. Praying today that the vent will allow her body to get the oxygen it needs so it can heal itself. You guys must be so tired, praying the Lord gives you rest and strength today as you struggle alongside Alex. She is going to recover beautifully, you guys hang in there. Know that you are loved and prayed for today. There are TONS of people outside the hospital walls that are lifting you guys up. love all three of you!
