Thank You

I can't even begin to tell all of you who follow our journey through this blog how much your words, prayers and thoughts mean to us. Today has been especially hard for mommy and it's been encouraging to hear from so many of you. We feel so supported and lifted up in prayer and thank each of you for that. I've often struggled with opening up to people about hardship because I feel vulnerable or feel like I have to be the strong one and in turn I tend to bottle things up. But I've learned that hardship, suffering and loss can bring people together in a beautiful way. There is so much compassion and love we have felt from this community around us and I'm so grateful. Many of you have shared how our story has touched you or how our baby girl Alex has inspired you and that's the beautiful way God works when we walk through the valley. We learn and grow through adversity and faith and in the end we are stronger. Thanks to those that reminded us God is here every step of the way and that He is taking care of our little Alex. We are comforted knowing she is in His hands.

Much Love

Here are some verses in Eccl 4:10-11. Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

You guys are blessed because you have frineds to lift you up when you are down - like during the last few weeks. And remember, somewhere, sometime down the reoad of life you will be there when your friend is down and needs someone to lift him up. God tells us that the person who has no friend to lift him up is indeed in trouble. You have freinds and you are a friend.

Nicole and Jimmy:
I was so sorry (but not terribly surprised) to hear about Alex's return to the hospital. Readmission is so hard after having had a taste of having your sweet girl at home for a short time. Hang in there, you'll have her back at home soon!
I am actually out of town right now. I will check in periodically. Stay strong!

Thank you guys very much for opening up to all of us. It seems to me that it would be much easier for you to shy away but I’m glad you are strong enough to share both your ups and your downs. I will be thinking and praying for all three of you as I know from experience both faith and prayer works. Also, thank you for having Rachel and I over Saturday it was amazing for me, for the first time, to see Alex in both of your arms. She’s such a sweet little girl.

God Bless,
Jeremiah
