Shunt surgery went well

Everything went great w/the surgery. We just want her to start
breathing over the ventilator so they can take it out.

im thinking of you from Missouri. continue to allow this situation to refine your marriage, your interaction with strangers and to prepare you for all the crazy things that Alex will do when she is a teen.

don't let them rush taken her off the vent. The more the tube goes in out of your throat more changes of infection and soreness. everything will work out just not as fast as we want sometimes. Every step she gains is a blessing. i have been there. Every day I wake up and can breath off the vent or pick up my hands to pet my animals is a great gift.
love you guys aunt genell

Am sorry to hear that Alex & y'alls struggles are contining. But -- I am thrilled that surgery went well & God continues to deepen your faith. Things rarely work out exactly like we hope, yet the power of prayer & how God uses these situations is amazing!
Hope to see you & newest family member soon.
Love,
Daryl, Lori, J & K
