Alex gets her 1st bottle

We've been waiting patiently for each of her feeding times (every 3 hrs) to try to nurse her, but she's been sleeping through each of them. It's been unnerving because excessive sleeping can be a sign somethings wrong.

So each of her feedings today has come through a tube. But just now she decided to finally take her 1st bottle. We're very happy. Of course she never actually opened her eyes to do it, so we're still praying nothings wrong. But she took the bottle, and that's enough to be thankful for. :)

I can't imagine what you're going through. I'm sitting here, reading your blogs, at a loss for the sympathy you deserve. As guilty as it sounds, it's causing me to stare Zoe in the eyes and get very emotional and ponder what lays before us. Keep trusting in God and the doctors...it seems like every negative post is followed by a positive turn in her development. I'm giving you two the biggest hug the next time I see you!

Reading the bottle, nursing and the shunt post it seems that you have a great little sleeper on your hands gathering all of her strength to get better. Congrats on the nursing and the positive head scan results. I'll be praying extra hard for you guys. Alex has a special place in my families heart. And after reading all of the great milestone posts, her name truly fits her and is a positive ray of Hope for everyone.--Taylor:)
