Home & Happy

Well, we made it home yesterday and Alex is doing much better. We got discharged around noon and then had a couple of out-patient appointments that had been scheduled awhile back so we spent our afternoon at Children's. Alex was a happy little girl yesterday and she's been smiling and talking all day today. I would say things are great but she did vomit today which is not a good sign. Her neurosurgeon wants us to keep an eye on her and if she spikes a fever or has any more problems we'll have to take her in. We are praying it's nothing major. We want our baby home for awhile!

I'm taking a class in the evenings two nights a week and managed to make it through my first week despite my lack of sleep and our crazy schedule! Did I mention we are glad it's Friday? Jimmy and I are both working so we have a lot on our plates but we always manage to make the best of things and enjoy our time together as a family. We hope to enjoy a nice weekend AT HOME, relax and maybe even sleep in tomorrow. The weather is beautiful right now and as you can tell from the pics we love spending time outdoors! We are working on weaning the oxygen during the daytime so we give Alex breaks every now and then. Maybe we can wean her right off soon. Anyways, hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

Love,
The Diffees
