Alex had her first ambulance ride today to Children's. She had an appointment with her pediatrician this morning and was having difficulty breathing so they called in a bus to come get her. She continued to struggle a bit during the ride but stabilized once we settled into the ER for the afternoon. Alex has parainfluenza virus which is responsible for causing another case of bronchilitis 
(infection that affects the tiny airways, called the bronchioles, that lead to the lungs. As these airways become inflamed, they swell and fill with mucus, making breathing difficult).Alex has been admitted to the pediatric floor and we are praying for a short stay this time. The docs and nurses all know her by name and have awarded her with the Triple Crown since she has officially laid claim to all three major respiratory infections this season.

Praying that this is a short stay and that she recovers fast. Hope that she is home for Easter, just knowing that she is in good hands makes it alittle easier:) Will keep all three of you in my prays.

She has experienced so much already just in her less than a year of being here. I hope she recovers fast and its not a repeat of last time. I know she will pull through but I really hope it's sooner than later. It's hard to see you all go through things like this. Love you

So sorry for another trip to the big house. We'll keep praying for respiratory season to come to a quick close, and Calvin will keep praying for "baby Alex to get those tubes out of her nose."
